Jewelry with Dies

Hi Friends,

I am back with my DT post for The Craft Shop. This time I am sharing tutorials on making jewelry with Dies. I am using Spellbinders Anemone Topper Die. The flowers of the die are graduated and big enough to make pendants or even complete necklace.

You can check out my tutorial here -

The pendants and earrings are waterproof because of resin coat.

Diwali Card

Hello Friends

It's been more than 6 months I haven't posted anything. Was busy with work. I missed blogging and of course crafting too. I missed visiting your blogs too. Recently I have joined TheCraftShop as their DT and pretty happy as my commitments will push me to craft atleast for my posts.

I have created a quick card and simple Diwali Card  using heat resist technique

I have first swirl stamped the stamp with versamark ink and the heat embossed it with Ranger's white embossing powder. Then applied distress inks and sprinkled water drops. I didn't had any Diwali Sentiment Stamp so I used Happy Stamp from SSS and for Diwali stamp I have used customised rubber stamp set.

The HAPPY and DIWALI text are heat embossed in white embossing powder on a black cardstock.
I have added strips on both sides of panel which are heat embossed in gold embossing powder.

I hope you liked my card
Will come up with my next creation soon !!!

Blossom Flower Card

Hello Peeps

I am back with another card. While I was organizing my stamps I found that there are many stamps which I have not opened yet and some have been used only twice or thrice. So I decided to pull them out and create something from them only.

In my last card which I posted here I used Hero Arts Blossom Stamp set. I have used this set again to create today's card.

I have used two flowers and a leaf from the set. Simply stamped them, colored using distress inks, fussy cut them and layered on a card base. To the background of flowers I added same distress inks which I have used to colour my flowers i.e. Dusty Concord and Shabby Shutters. Finally added Shine die cut to the base. I have sticked it on the background as the flowers are raised with foam tape.

I have also applied perfect pearls powder over flowers and leaves to add a subtle shine but it is difficult to capture this with camera. To the die cut Shine I have applied Elmers transparent sparkle glue.

Distress Ink Background

Hello Friends,

Today I am sharing a very simple card. I have created a background using distress inks. Since distress inks are very reactive so I decided to experiment a little with them.

First have a look at  my finished card

To create the background I took a piece of Neenah Solar White Cardstock and applied broken china & chipped sapphire distress inks. Then using chipped sapphire I stamped a flower from Hero Arts Blossom Stamp set all over the distressed cardstock. Since distress inks remain wet for sometime so they can be used for embossing as well. So I applied clear embossing  powder over the stamped flowers and heat set it with heat gun.

Now the fun part begins. I took fabric whitener which we use at home. Dipped the brush into it and applied it on the flowers. Distress ink reacted with it turning the areas lighter. And if applied more areas will turn white. This is how I got this background.

To finish off the card I cut down the background cardstock into a panel and adhere it to A2 card base. I also  used happy die from Simon Says Stamp. I used five diecuts and stick them one above the other to get the dimension. Finally added this chipboard looking diecut over the vellum.

Floral Card

Hello Peeps,

How are you all doing? I have neglected my blog for a year almost. And didn't crafted anything during this time. I was following all your lovely creations on facebook though. Now I am back again.

I tried few flowers using Memory Box Fabulous Phlox die. It took me 5 days to complete this card. Still not very satisfied with the final outcome. I think I have forgotten almost everything. Need to create more to get back to my rhythm and mojo.

Here's my card. The card size is 6*6 .

The pink flowers are handmade using Memory Box Fabulous Phlox Die. The small red roses are mulberry ones. The butterfly is stamped, heat embossed with white embossing powder and coloured using distress inks. The bow is diecut using Memory Box Bows die.
