Diwali Card Series - 1

Hello Friends,

How you all doing? Wish you all a very happy and blessed Diwali. I am blogging after more than 3 months now and really happy to do so. I didn't crafted at all except for last 10 days. Meanwhile I also thought to post some old projects which I never shared here but my laziness always kept me away from my blog.

Few days back one of my friend wanted some handmade Diwali Cards. And I can't say No to him. So I made around 25 which I will sharing here. Since these cards were made to mail so I have not incorporated any 3D element in it. For few cards I decided to use dry embossing and distressing. Spellbinders paisley embossing folder was perfect for the theme. So here are the cards I made -

CSCC#3

Hello Friends,

New month, new challenge at CSCC blog. Hope you are having fun participating in our challenge. This time we are asking you to get inspired from the below picture.Yes the pic is masculine and you can use any element of the image to make your card.

This is what I came up with. I have used blue, white n red color and shirt pattern and as my inspiration. The background is created using distress ink, acrylic color and watercolor pencils. I have applied glossy accent on stars and used fabric tape below them.

I think masculine cards are most difficult to make. I tried my best. Hope you liked it. Do participate. We would love to see your creation.

And I'm Back

Hello Friends,

How you all are doing ? It's been long long since I posted anything. I was not blogging for last few months so missed visiting your blogs. Though I was active on facebook. Last few months were the toughest time of my life. Mom's heart attack, angioplasty n my leg's fracture all happened in just 4 days. By God's grace everything is fine now n I have started crafting again.

Few days back when I sat down to make a card, I found my mojo is completely lost. After two days of struggle with layering, embellishments, I finally manage to complete this card.

This is a double pocket card with tags. It was in my to-do-list and decided to make it when I saw current challenge theme at lulupu blog. The background is handmade using distress inks. I have shared a tutorial on it on CCC blog during my DT term. If you wish, you can check it out here. The white flower is heat embossed on vellum. I have also tried my new tool -corner chomper on tags. I love this tool as it can be used on variety of materials to round off the edges. Here are few more views -
