A Colourful Card with Misting Technique

Hello Friends,

Last fews days were terrible for me as my internet connection was not working..not working even today..making this post from my office. These days without internet i realized blogging has become very important part of my life. I hope i can access my net very soon..

Now coming to my card. Well i have created this card few days back for ICR's Challenge 16--->Holi theme + Misting Technique. First time doing misting..Take a look -

I have used three colours as mentioned for the challenge - yellow , fuchsia n green. As you can see there are six rectangle pieces .Each piece has a base colour either of three and misting of rest two.I have used camel water colours for this. The digi image is coloured using pencil colours.I found this digi apt for the Holi card. The fan folded flower is made using glace papers. The text is handwritten.

Wedding Money Envelope

Hello guys,

Hey hey..i am back again to share my recent creation with u all. It's an money envelope. We all know in Indian weddings it's a big custom to give money to relatives..so I created one. The cardstock is recycled from a wedding invitation card..I love these cardstock as they are quiet thick and apt for wedding envelope. I generally recycle wedding cards this way only. I just experimented a new shape -a purse shape for money envelope. Take a look-

As you can seen i have decorated it with our traditional gota & rhinostones..and everything is locally purchased. Now lets open it slowly -

I have secured the flap with an valcro..I love using valcro in candy boxes also. Now unfolding it to see the inner part-

Here comes the full view to the inner part-

I have glued a regular money envelope inside that will actually hold the money & folded it from both sides so that it can fit into my purse envelope. I enjoyed making it. Just give it a try n experiment with new shapes, u will too love making it. Apart from above, I have made few more with new shapes..will share them soon.

Hope you like it !! Waiting for your valuable comments !!

Crafty JC Inspiration

Hi Friends,

Today i am sharing a very bright and colourful card made as GD for Crafty JC Challenge. As the theme for the current challenge is to use more than 3 bright colours so I chose -yellow, red, green & purple to make a vibrant card. I have also kept in mind to showcase the Women Power. So these vibrant colours and digi image says it well. Coloured the image digi  using Camel Artists water colours I am playing with so many bright colours for the first time n happy with the result. The text is handwritten. Also used fiskars stamp & stampin up limeade ink.

You should have arrived here from Dolly's blog. If not make sure you can begin hopping from the Varna's Creation.
Now about my take on the Varnas’s digi image. Both digi image –(i) baby&moon  and (ii) Lovepost were so cut that I cannot resist myself to make cards using both of them. You must have seen these digi images at Varna’s blog. So here comes my first card with Varna's baby&moon digi image.

I wanted to use some unusual colours i.e. other than pink/blue for baby card .I hope i chose the right colour combo. The digi image is coloured using Camel Artists water colours. The sleeping baby isn't looking sweet ! The purple roses are handmade. Button & yellow flowers are from stash. Keeping in mind the baby theme, i used handcut pencil shape to stamp the sentiment.
Here is a closer look to the upper part-

Now take a look at my second card with Varna's lovepost digi image -

Again the digi image is coloured using Camel Artists water colours. Used so many coloured papers for the first time. The blue dotted paper is from priya's candy.I kept that lovely white lace to use for a special card, so found this card was apt for it. Used red roses & pielane's butterflies as they were going well with the theme. The bow is handmade. The black coloured circle behind roses is handcut. The sentiment is handwritten.

So lets get a closer look to the coloured image-
